February 14-15, 2015 in Azerbaijan, Sheki was held a meeting between the Association of Photographers of Georgia (APG) and the Union of Azerbaijani Photographers. During the meeting presentation of Georgian photography was demonstrated by APG representatives. Also the joint master class was held for the local photographers.
The chairman of the Azerbaijani photographers Union Mirnaib Hasanoglu and the Board member Rauf Umudov were handed the certificates stating that they have become an honorary members of APG.
In those days photographers of the two organizations held a joint photo tour in Sheki.
During the two-day meeting in Sheki they visiited in Sheki Khan Sarai (palace), in the manufactory of the famous shekinian silk Chalagaia (scarves), were acquainted with the manufacturing process of the well-named Sheki Pahlava, were introduced with the local crafts of embroidery, jewelry, folk instruments and stained glass.
