Association of Photographers of Georgia (APG) announces qualification contest PHOTOGRAPHER OF APG (P_APG) for professional and amateur photographers
The purpose of the Qualification Competition is to recognize the competency and qualification of professional and amateur photographers and their compliance with photographic standards.
Eligibility for P_APG Qualification
To be eligible to apply for a P_APG Certificate, the candidate:
* Must be a professional or amateur photographer for at least one year;
* Must be an author of the images
Submission of Work
Each candidate must submit a bound of 15 images by email masterofapg@gmail.com
Email shall be sent according to the criteria:
a) A title of an email (Subject) shall be: Photographer of APG
b). It should be indicated author's name, surname
c). Applicant photographer's CV
Images must be:
• 2400 pixels on the longest side
• Format: jpeg 10
• Embedded profile: SRGB or Adobe 98
The images must not contain any text or graphic elements, which were not part of the original exposure. Images containing text will be immediately disqualified.
Categories
a. Each applicant may submit 15 images in the following categories, including:
* Portrait
* Wedding
* Landscape
* Children
* Commercial
* Macro
* Still life
* Architecture
* Genre
* Reportage
* Sport
* Nude
*Glamour
Successful M_APG photographers will receive a printed certificate in English.
Application Fee
An application entry fee is 30,00 EUR (for Georgian participants - in equivalent on GEL at the current rate of the National Bank of Georgia).
The fee is not refundable.
Unsuccessful candidates may repeat the application process once free of charge at the first available judging session, and in any case within 6 months.
Judging
Submission and judging will be entirely online; The submitted images will be judged by 5 local and International judges. Judges are selected based on their photographic technique, experience, and previous experience as a photographic judge.
Images will be judged by the following criteria:
• Impact
• Creativity
• Technical Excellence
• Composition
Copyright and Releases
The copyright of all images submitted remains with the copyright holder. However, the APG reserves the right to use any of the images submitted, without payment, for display and publicity purposes for this and future APG awards or projects. It is important that the candidate obtains the permission of the client and/or the copyright holder and any relevant model release forms, where appropriate before submitting the work. If the author does not have such permission (Release), APG will not use the presented works for the above purposes and will be limited only to procedures for certification needs. The works will be presented to each member of the jury individually.
NOTE!
The APG contest section will not allow for judging any submitted pictures unless the following procedures have been adhered to if:
*the images submitted do not conform to these rules
* the submission fee has not been paid
