On 30 November 2016, in the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia held the International photo exhibition and Awarding ceremony of the first International photo salon Georgian Drag 2016 conducted under FIAP patronage, organized by the Association of Photographers of Georgia. The photo exhibition hosted the best works of the participant International photographers.
The contest received 5357 photographs of 358 authors from 59 countries.
As a result of the International jury 1486 photographs have been selected, of which 52 photographs have won awards.
Contestants presented their works in the 4 sections, 13 awards have been granted in each of them, including 4 gold medals from the FIAP, also 24 gold, silver and bronze medals from the Association of photographers of Georgia and photo salon, as well as diplomas and honorable mentions. The best author of photo salon from Australia was awarded a FIAP blue badge.
Behind International photographers, Georgian authors also were participated in the Georgian Drag 2016. Among them Mzia Lekveishvili was awarded FIAP gold medal.
The representatives of the Union of Azerbaijani Photographers were participated on the ceremony. They were awarded a special prize for the creative and fruiltful cooperation with APG.
behind this, on the ceremony, the APG members (professional sction): Tamuna Bichinashvili, Ilia Chkadua, Mikhail Kirakosyan and Levan Levanidze awarded national qualification certificate MASTER OF APG.
The best works of the Photo Salon Georgian Drag 2016 will be included in the online catalog
